Super Easy Ground Spike Build
This is so incredibly easy it can barely be called a build! Borrowing from the CB world yet again, you can find this mirror mount at Flying J on Moose Jaw's North Service Road. But instead of mounting it to a mirror, we are going to use it as a ground spike for a vertical antenna.
To do this you simply rotate the stock mirror mount configuration 90 degrees. This allows you to fit the ground spike - an awning anchor from Peavey Mart. Just tighten up the bolts and Bob is your dad's brother.
The other nifty perk of this setup is an automatic spot to attach ground radials. Just use a wing-nut on the end of the bolt and you can fan out a set of counterpoise radials in no time!
